Microsoft Publisher Retirement
Microsoft Publisher is no longer available through Microsoft 365.
What does this mean for employees?
For most teams, there will be little to no impact. Publisher is not a tool that most employees regularly need.
What should I use instead?
Depending on what you're creating, use:
- Word for documents, letters, and simple newsletters
- PowerPoint for presentations and visual communications
- Excel for spreadsheets and data tracking
What if I have an existing Publisher file?
If you have Publisher files that are still needed for business purposes, they should be converted to a supported format, such as Word or PowerPoint.
